Vicci Mitchell-Luker - Singing Teacher
Vicci Mitchell-Luker is an experienced singing teacher, who trained in classical singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, before going on to work in cabaret and music theatre. With performance, directing and writing credits to her name, she is able to bring a wealth of experience to her teaching practice.
In 2004, while Vicci was principal of The Voice School, Josette Lesser, reporting for "The Singer" magazine wrote:
"Her approach is bright, interesting and personable, and I am struck by her ability to engage the students whatever the subject matter. In the vocal classes, whether she is behind the piano accompanying, or getting the whole group to try a technique, nothing seems to escape her notice."
Vicci teaches children, teenagers and adults, with about fifty percent of her students being young professionals in the music theatre world. She is happy to teach both classical and music theatre styles, as well as trad jazz, cabaret and folk. It is possible to study for exams up to professional diploma level, prepare for auditions or roles, or simply enjoy a great hobby.
